PURPOSE

When a sudden global pandemic forces your company to launch a swift plan to transition to a virtual workforce, how do you ensure your employees understand the technology resources available to them on the eve of a major shift? What’s more, how do you reassure them that you are keeping their health and the health of the business in mind?

When the technology division of our multi-national corporate client reached out to us with these very serious (very time sensitive) challenges, we developed an employee-focused strategy and sped to action.

CHALLENGE

In order to prioritize the health and safety of their team, our client needed to prepare for the transition to a fully virtual workforce. Their main priority was to quickly educate their team on the tools and resources they’d need to continue working from a distance, with minimal disruption. And by engaging them early, they can understand and adopt any new technologies before their remote experience begins.

APPROACH

 

We worked with our clients to navigate through the new reality of their virtual workplace by driving the education and communication necessary to adapt their 30,000 global employees to a new way of working. We helped them think through all of the nuances and options related to keeping people connected during unprecedented times.

We created a detailed guide of resources to help employees continue their daily operations, even as a distributed team. This guide helped to optimize and enhance their remote work experience.

From there, we designed a campaign of regular employee communications, building out messaging and visuals to drive employees to these resources, keeping them confident and reassured that there’s a technology solution for any sized problem. The ongoing campaign highlights the efficient aspects of working remotely, such as being able to quickly pivot from one thing to the next. It encourages employees to inform themselves about the available resources rather than missing out (or falling behind).

IMPACT

 

We helped our global client roll out a new virtual workplace to its employees all over the world in a span of 48-hours, helping them think through all of the nuances and options related to keeping people connected during unprecedented times.
