I put purpose into practice by…
finding inspiration in everything from flea markets to gallery walls.
Expertise: Graphic Design
With over 12 years of agency, corporate, and freelance experience, Melissa understands the ins and outs of what it takes to support creative ideas and experiences from the ground up.
Her design career began at the age of three, when she first put Crayola to the wall. Since then, she’s honed her skills in print, digital, and event design for worldwide brands, startups, and everything in between. She is a true design enthusiast who is passionate about adding empathy and authenticity to every project she works on, no matter the size.
She grew her design roots at a Chicago-based branding studio, where she progressed from Junior Designer to Creative Director in six years. She learned the value of collaboration, experimentation, and having a “glass half full” attitude.
Outside of the office you’ll find her working in her garden, tuning up her bike or hunting for a sunny spot to perch.
When asked about why she loves working at August Jackson, she said “From day one, I felt an instant connection with the team at AJ. This group is not only driven to deliver incredible work for the clients we serve—they’re equally committed to operating with kindness and generosity—encouraging, empowering, and supporting teammates in order to create space for each person to do their best work.”
Education: BFA from Kennesaw State University (Graphic Communications, Art History)
