An Internal Community Collaboration Site

Our client's marketing department sought a communications solution to both capture messaging and encourage collaboration. AJ's response: a website that captured the sleek (yet cheeky) feel of their innovation-focused quarterly meetings and also offered an accessible, centralized means of communication for marketing management and staff.

Tasked with designing a website that lives up to the “innovation” moniker, the AJ Healthcare team incorporated unorthodox touches into both navigation and design. The navigation bar gives a nod to the age of print files via tabbed banners that collapse at the top of the page and expand when clicked in order to show the section full frame. The homepage graphics are bright and friendly, yet industrial; a perfect visual metaphor for a space intended to foster creativity and promote productivity.

Site visitors have an opportunity to play a soundtrack as they navigate, and a robust idea exchange portal, modeled after Kickstarter, helps encourage a flow of ideas and discussion. With an “innovative” touch of our own, we managed to creatively incorporate elements of social networking into a highly-regulated environment that typically discourages open communication forums.
